Well Led LIVE - A series of podcasts for supporting staff wellbeing during COVID

We are excited to launch a series of podcasts we recorded during our Well Led LIVE event on the 23rd November. We have edited the discussions into 4 sections covering a range of topics so you can access them in 10-15 minute soundbites.

The session was chaired by @abethune with contributions from @BenLevinson, @BupaFoundation, @sdoyle and @ojones - we are grateful for their contributions. The topics and recordings are listed below:

  1. Biggest challenges facing Head Teachers and staff right now

Well Schools LIVE – Taking action on Head Teacher wellbeing

The return to school since September has seen a further decline in the wellbeing of our Head Teachers, with a perfect storm being created by continuing implications of Covid for children and staff, workforce issues with recruitment and retention, staff stress and anxiety, attendance and behavioural challenges and a seeming ignorance to the ongoing pressure of Head teachers and schools to manage all of this.

We will be joined by sector leaders and Head Teachers to explore this issue and layout a route map for supporting and valuing Head Teachers at a time when we could lose many from our schools. We will start with the question “are we undervaluing our Head Teachers when we need them the most?”
